法哲学的基本属性可以归纳为五个方面：总体性，即法哲学是从总体的角度来研究法律世界；求实性，即法哲学要面向现实，从现实出发提出和解决法哲学问题；批判性，即法哲学对法律实践要进行反思和批判；分析性，即分析是法哲学的内在要求和重要功能；思想性，即法哲学追求的是法律的抽象思想。

The basic properties of the philosophy of law may be summarized in five aspects: Comprehensiveness——The philosophy of law deals with the legal world comprehensively; Actuality——The philosophy of law gives emphasis to reality, and raises and resolves philosophical questions of law from reality; Criticality——The philosophy of law has an examining and critical eye on legal practice; Analysis——The philosophy of law takes analysis as its inherent requirement and important function; Thinking——The philosophy of law seeks abstract thinking of law.
