中文摘要:

宪政在西方文化传统中有自己的原始涵义，中国近代先进思想家在接受宪政观念时作了新的理解，这就使得西方的宪政观念在中国发生了根本的变化。西方人追求的是宪政自身的价值，而在中国，宪政则变成了人们在追求国家富强时的一个工具。这种语境的置换消解了宪政本身的价值。

英文摘要:

The Chinese thinkers in the early modern time had accepted the concept of constitutionalism according to their own understanding which is fundamentally different from the original meaning in the western cultural tradition.Westerners seek the intrinsic value of constitutionalism,whereas in China,it is understood as an instrument for seeking a prosperous and powerful state.Therefor,the intrinsic value of constitutionalistn is curtailed.
